Profile: Alan Scott

Personal background
I live in Horley which is a small town about 25 miles South of London, and just North of Gatwick airport.

I enjoy watching and reading Science Fiction and Science fact. So my favourite TV channels are Sky 1 for Star Trek / Andromeda / Stargate and the Discovery Channels.

I also enjoy humerous Science Fiction and Fantasy novels by the likes of Robert Rankin and Terry Pratchet
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
There must be some other form of life in the universe. I cannot believe that of all the systems and planets out there, ours is the only one that has life on it.

Whether this planet is the only one with sentient life is another question, one that SETI hopes to answer.

I like to feel that by contributing a little computing power, I am helping to try and find the evidence of sentient life. What we do when we find it is another matter.
