Personal background
I'm a IT advisor working for a major Dutch newspaper company. I am 36 years of age, married to my wife (see picture) and have a wonderfull boy of almost 2 years of age.
My interest has always been the still-a-bit-far-from-today form of science. Imagine in 100 years: no more fossil fuel to burn but solar power plants in every desert for both electrity and heat-reflection against the greenhouse effect. Human interest not so much focused on personal material gain but more on each others mental health and general psychological (still personal!) wellbeing. Some nearby alien species assisting us in developing our inter-human and inter-species social skills. A species discovered on my computer by using SETI@home !
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI(@home) is a wonderful scientific project, of which there should be more in this world. To satisfy our curiosity for the worlds (more than just Earth as we recently discovered) around us, for simply knowing and wondering. To do this with people all around the world, with little personal benefit (okay, apart from the rankings, I admit I'm guilty there too).

Maybe if we tried analysing some other frequencies also? Walking around the radiographic spectrum so to speak?
