Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?

Of course. I honestly don't believe I'll be alive to see humans come in contact with alien life. I read somewhere that it is believed only 1% of the universe is comprised of life. Considering the size of the universe, that is a large number... but it's still a pretty small number to spread across that vastness... I think we're a long way from the technology to allow us to travel far enough.

2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?

Not sure... seen so many alien "horror" flicks that the possibility of some horrible alien finding it and then conquering Earth, sticks in my head... but those are just movies...

3. Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?

Why not? It's fun... and although I doubt I'll be alive for contact, it's still a beginning...
