Personal background
I'm from a small town in Massachusetts right next to Providence, RI. I am a student at Umass Dartmouth, majoring in computer science. Assorted hobbies I have include ham radio, cars, computers, music, and riding dirt bikes. I am also an EMT and currently work with many volunteer organizations. I enjoy the prospect of their being intelligent life out there as much as I enjoy the idea of humans actively searching out other life through programs such as Seti@home. I would like to someday design software to be used in similar programs, that is if we don't find what we are looking for tommorow ;-)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that as part of our search for intelligent life, we should be transmitting a beacon. I believe this is just as important a part of the search for other life as is running seti@home.
