Personal background
I am a 20 year old college student from Raleigh, NC. I attend school full time at Wake Technical Community College and work retail part time. I am going to transfer to North Carolina State University in the fall of 2003. My major is Computer Science. A project I am doing for Calculus II called the Fourier series brought me to this web site because of the use of the Fast Fourier Transform.

I also like cars and racing, including drag, formula one, and street.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that extraterrestrial civilizations do exist, however the probability of finding one is obviously very small. If we were to discover another race in the universe we could certainly benefit by communication of technologies. I first ran SETI@home to view the Fast Fourier Transform in motion, but I find the thought of searching for extraterrestrial existence interesting as well.
