Been a Seti supporter from the 90's I started when I was in my 40's I'm now a couple of months from turning 70 and still nothing ?
Married 3 daughter 4 grandkids.
Living it out in South Africa - not a place for softies.
My wish is that some form of contact is made before I move on.

I just figure the maths would suggest that there must be other life out there somewhere. Even if life starts on every billionth planet that still give plenty to work with. I figure mankind is screwing Earth up pretty fast and we need to get the human race settled somewhere else if we want our species is to survive.
I sometimes wonder if I'm wasting my time keeping Seti running non stop on one of my computers but I guess in the scale of things a thousand years on Earth is nothing in space time.
I guess we just have to keep plugging away - who knows maybe a real BIG WOW will come our way.
Eu apenas imagino que a matemática sugeriria que deve haver outra vida por aà em algum lugar. Mesmo que a vida comece em cada bilionésimo planeta que ainda dá muito para trabalhar. Eu acho que a humanidade está estragando a Terra muito rápido e precisamos estabelecer a raça humana em outro lugar, se quisermos que nossa espécie sobreviva.
Às vezes me pergunto se estou desperdiçando meu tempo mantendo Seti funcionando sem parar em um dos meus computadores, mas acho que na escala de coisas de mil anos na Terra não há nada no espaço-tempo.
Eu acho que nós apenas precisamos continuar nos desligando - quem sabe talvez um verdadeiro BIG WOW venha em nosso caminho.
Ek vind net die wiskunde sal voorstel dat daar iewers 'n ander lewe daar wees. Selfs as die lewe begin op elke miljardste planeet wat nog genoeg gee om mee te werk. Ek is van mening dat die mens die aarde vinnig skroef en ons moet die mensdom êrens anders vestig as ons wil hê ons spesie moet oorleef.
Ek wonder soms of ek my tyd mors om Seti op een van my rekenaars te stop, maar ek dink in die skaal van dinge wat duisend jaar op Aarde niks in die ruimte is nie.
Ek dink ons moet net wegbly - wie weet miskien 'n ware groot WOW sal ons pad kom.
Mi nur kalkulas, ke la matematikoj sugestus, ke ekzistas alia vivo tie. Eĉ se la vivo komenciÄas en ĉiu miliarda planedo, kiu ankoraÅ donas multajn laborojn. Mi kalkulas, ke la homaro strebas la teron tre rapide kaj ni bezonas ke la homa raso loÄis ie alie, se ni deziras, ke nia specio postvivu.
