| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I run SETI because I think we have too.
Something has to happen to make humans realise that we are not the reason for the universe being there. What happened to us is not unique, we are only part of the big picture.
Will we ever meet ET. Maybe, and by then we may be wise enought to deal with it! I dread to think what we will do otherwise.
One small thing. SETI, if nothing else has made people the globe over realise what you can do if you all work together. Spare CPU cycles giving over a million years of CPU time is pretty amazing, especially as its only in a few years. Just think what we could do if we really tried! |
