Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Finding a signal would validate recent findings that we're all made of the same stuff and life is more or less common in the universe.
I think it is just a matter of 'when' we find the signal, but the universe is a big place. It could be a while so we need to be patient. When we find the first signal I believe many more will follow once we figure out what to look for.
