Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm asked to respond to same questions. Here they are.
1. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?
- Well, sure it exists. But i don't know in which form. Most of those scifi-films handl about extraterrestial life with arms, legs, eyes, bodys, ears, mouth,...typical humanlike beeings. I think it doesn't have to be so. And that we will discover them...only if they don't discover us before. And when we discover them...they, perhaps, don't exist any more (imagine only the distance and the time the signals (traveling in lightspeed) need to reach us). And what happens if we discover life...intelligent life. It would be a benefit for the humans, knowing theres life in space. Dangers... i don't think so. At this moment WE are our most biggest danger with all the wars and deseases and-so-on. Perhaps this extraterrestial life would help us instead of "killing" us...

2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?
- Yes, why not. If they find that beacon they will be intelligent enough to know what to do and what not. And the information we should send doesn't really import at all. Importand is that they recieve something from us, so that they know that there's although intelligent life, us, outthere. Perhaps we should sent some music or mathematical forms, because mathematical forms, like physiks, chemistry,..., never change, nither here nore in outor space.

3. Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?
- Easy to answer question... i just want to know if theres life outthere. Intelligent or not Intelligent. And the SETI@Home project is the best beginning to find it out. It's good that the whole world could take part at this project. And we can help to find signals from outside...that idea is just great.
My suggetion: Keep on rolling this project. And please don't stop if you find something. The space is very big.
