Personal background
I'm a designer of children's books, and live in southern New England, USA. I am fond of woodchucks (Marmota monax) and am studying vernal pool ecology on my own. I looked up and saw two satellites pass overhead one night when no planes were allowed to fly in September 2001, and it was amazing. Last winter I went to the Yale observatory (I can walk to it from my little house) and looked through a telescope for the first time ever. I liked it! Sometimes, I wish I could live forever because the Earth is so beautiful and I've seen so little of it thus far.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I can only hope that life exists elsewhere in the universe, in some form or other. It's all about hope, I think.
