Personal background
Hi there,
Names Steven Chennault. I'm a computer programmer/(singer/songwriter)/salesman at Best Buy here in my home town of Peoria, IL. I have seti@home running on all 3 of my computers at home... 2 1.7 ghz with 512 ram and 1 900 mhz with 128 ram.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe in the proverbial ET. Mostly through the fact that even if its one out of a billion there would be billions of "ET"s out there. kinda hard to ignore those odds. I do believe we should transmit a beacon for others. Just get a satelitte have it transmit a basic map of the galaxy and where we are and just start it spinning an have it send it out every random seconds until BAM recieved hehe.... I run seti@home mostly because I want to help further science and research. I would like to see humans reach the next technological breakthrough and I like knowing that in some way I am helping.

on a side note(one outside seti@home but dealing with Science and technology) now that nano-technology is becoming more and more real, they should start considering using it as more of a building tool. Imagine a space vehicle made out of nano-fibre. 500X stronger then steel and a fraction of the weight. Would be a tremendous boon to the space agency.

Ok I've ranted long enough HOOWAH!!!

Long live the metal,
Steven "Schenn" Chennault
