| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I believe that aliens do exist, and I don't think humans will discover them; I believe they will discover us. The possible benifits are a copy of the Encyclopedia Galactica, and the possible dangers are being pulled into a intergalactic war between two races.
I beleive humans have been transmitting a beacon throughout the last century.
I run SETI@home because I want the knowledge that I helped find an alien transmission. My views on the project are for it to find what it is looking for. A suggestion would be to place a audio decoder in the program so the user can hear what we are processing. |
