| I'm a 28 year old male from Lucerne, a 60.000 souls town in central Switzerland (Europe), surrounded by mountains. There's a river going through our town, and there are two lakes. A very small one, that is the one with the fewest wind in whole Europe and a bigger one, which has a cross-like shape, and one of these arms ends in my town - Lucerne. I'm pacifist, except direct self-defense, which should be allowed, but we should never attack other countries or parts of our country. I love children, animals, arts. Don't think I'm weak. I'm not. My favourite animal is the lion, which is also my zodiac sign. Well I'm a vegetarian lion :-) |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. I think extraterrestrial life exists. I have doubts whether we humans will discover them, but there's a chance. I see dangers not only for us, but also for these life forms, because it could be that we do not care about their feelings and "aliens rights".
2. We should not send a beacon. First we should solve the problems on our own planet. We're just not mature enough.
3. I don't know whether I trust SETI or not, but anyway I have free CPU capacity, and I don't want to waste it. So I believe for at least 51% that it makes sense. |
