Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I started running seti@home when I built my P-III 500Mhz. to see how fast it would do the data and how many results I could achive. I now have it running on my latest creation an AMD-XP1900 with 512Mb DDR Ram. an ASUS GForce3 T500 64MbDDR Disply. My game machine.
As far as us finding extraterrestial life, I believe we will. I would say that within a five to ten year period that contact will be made public. I also believe we will find proof of not only life on Mars but of long gone civilization, with a link to our own existance on this planet today.
