Profile: Carlos Benoit

Personal background
I worked as radio & TV man for 20 years. Now retired as sound engineer and musical producer in Santiago, Dominican Republic.

My hobbies are artistic and investigative protography.

Now I also work as webdesigner.

Since I was a child I have been interested in extraterrestrial investigations and have always had dreams about aliens coming to us or me going to them. As most of you would maybe understand those are things you don't normally talk to everyone in your country, worse if you are a media star, so you will be considered crazy, hehehe.

I started reading Carl Sagan's and many more books in the 80s . In 1989 me and my family saw a lot of interesting "things" in the space. Same like when I was a child (we live in a farm and sky is clean a lot of nights).

Since I read about SETI@home I came and downloaded it to help. Maybe in this encarnation I know "something" is found and/or published. I have always felt we don't really belong to only this place and I can't help feeling at home when I look to the skies at night.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
This is the most serious "known" project about this. I am not sure but someday we will discover the place we come from.

I am sure we will "discover" extraterrestrial life when we need to do it or when the right moment comes. I am not sure if we'd already discovered and Big countries have the info in secret since long ago.

I am not sure if benefits or dangers around the idea. Maybe both are probabilities. Look at human race, we can use the technology for good things but are mostly using it to autodestroy.

There is the latent chance for benefits from extraterrestrial visits possible technologies, but also we can find mean existances looking for destruction or already destroyed. We will only know when the moment comes and we won't be able to avoid it.

Suggestions? Maybe you can send an automail to us when every unit is done so we know our and project status and get more in touch with it.
