I am a computer consultant and have been converting landfill destined computers to BOINC workservers, current computers running Boinc are.

Longterm goal is to cluster 30+ G3's 266's for dedicated Boinc research when I can find a way to afford the electricity to run them all.
Looking to convert that old G3 to a dedicated workserver? All you need is 4g hard drive 128m ram, OS 10.1.3 - xpostfacto 3.1 - OS 10.3 (OSX VNC for remote management) just add power, internet and let it crunch. |
