Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
We try to communicate with extraterrestrial life, and of course, we hope to find something, one day or an other. But when we see that communication between humans is so difficult...
Maybe also the termites have also started their search (SETI, Search for Extra-Termitary Intelligence)and we, the superhumans, have just noticed anything until today ?
Why do I run SETI@home ? Do we really have any other choice ? The universe is there and it is so hard to believe it is filled with gas, clouds, rocks and stars only. It must be something living somewhere, ants, plants, amoeba, even less, just something like Britney Spears.
And at night, just in the seconds before to fall asleep, I like to think that there is still something which continues to work in the house : maybe some ET will detect the activity of my computer, but not the one of my brain...
