Personal background
I'm a 29 years young, poor old IT Manager who lives in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, England. I'm interested in astronomy, photography, ornathology, "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" and being lazy watching TV.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I like to think that there is life on other planets. Why should the earth be the only planet capable of supporting life forms? In time, we will discover something that resembles life as we know it. Quite what the bebefits are, I don't know, but until the time arises, let's concentrate on finding them.

2. We should transmit a beacon. It could include details of the human race, our technology, what we have discovered in space, and above all (although current world situations may not show it), we are generally a peaceful race.

3. I use a PC in the office every day and feel it can be put to better use other than surfing websites, errr, I mean, designing websites and supporting users.
