Personal background
I am a Junior Computer Science student (going to be 21 in April) at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay, where I also work at the school's Computing Help Desk.

My hobbies are: reading (currently reading Lord of the Rings, A Clockwork Orange, the first three books in Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, AND a collection of essays by Arthur C. Clarke...*whew!*), building computers, computers and tech in general, studying space science (physics, astronomy, SETI, planetary geology, space exploration, etc). Going back to the reading portion of this hobby list, my favorite authors are: Arthur C. Clarke, Carl Sagan, and J.R.R. Tolkien.

I also enjoy movies quite a bit; my DVD collection is a bit too large for a college student to financially sustain himself but I can't help it. Stanley Kubrick is definitely the best director to ever grace the medium (so I think at least!), with my favorite movie being 2001: A Space Odyssey... that should be pretty self-explanatory after reading the aforementioned hobbies :)
