Personal background
Computers are my hobbie my trade and my passion.

I Started out in the late 70's as a kid with a Timex sinclair attached to my TV (and an Atari 2600).I later moved myself onto a Radio Shack TRS-80 and then a Radio Shack color computer. Then in the early 90's I got into Dos and win 3.0 and I have ran every version of Micro$oft Windows 95 - 98 - ME - NT4 - 2000 workstation and server and finally XP Pro. It's just too freaking simplistic anymore. No real challenge in everyday use anymore. Think when was the last time you were exited to get a program up and running on a windows computer. Wizards for everything. It's great don't get me wrong. It's fantastic for people that just want to use it. I want to control the thing and ride it for what it's worth.

Now my passion lies with something a bit more challenging to me. The wonderful world of linux. I have been using Linux (Mandrake,Redhat,Icepack,Corel open linux, and a bunch of other) for the last 9 Months solid ! I completly converted over. Well for work I have no choice but to touch other peoples 98 and Xp boxes sometimes but My Work system,Home system and Laptop are all running Mandrake 9.0

I love it..
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Great idea. I just hope something happens within my lifetime that turns everyones opinions 180 degrees. like say proving there's life out there.
