Personal background
Living in Hawaii where I work as a telecom engineer. Basically I break shit. The picture above is my son Ryen, which makes me feel old even though I refuse to believe that I am. Hobby wise, I probably spend way too much time on computers, which I know because I'm way to easy to find on google or pipl. I do some writing, not much anymore and as I write this I have a 102 F fever and I'm on enough meds that I probably won't remember doing it tomorrow, but this profile thing needed an update.

I have decided not to be a responsible person. Whenever something goes wrong, the first thign people want to konw is, "who's responsible?" and i have no desire to be this person.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Sure i think ET's exist. If you're a religious person (not me) then i would hate to think that this is the best that [insert particular diety(ies) of choice here] can do. Omnipotent and the best that can be produced is mankind? that says something about the limits of omnipotence ;) If your a scientist then it's hard to say that given the number of stars out there that we're the lone living beings in the universe. And if your a scientologist, well, some people just can't be helped.
