Personal background
Hi I'm Zara From the UK.
My interest in Seti@home stems from a bizarre encounter I had with a UFO when I was 16:) Since then I've had a interest in various theories as to what they are and where they come from. I'm still perplexed...but there you go.
I love reading 1950's sci-fi, particularly the collections of short stories.
H.P Lovecraft is another favorite.
Apart from that, I spend my time on-line and walking the dog, normal stuff webmaster types do I guess.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think the seti@home programme is a great idea. The whole concept of actually picking up signals from another intelligence(not of this Earth) that can be interpreted by us, in an 'acceptable', measured way (at this time in our evolution/history )is awe inspiring, and would stand out as the single, most important event of our time without a doubt.
