Personal background
I am from Long Island New York now living in Wilmington, NC. I have been building and upgrading computers for over 35 years. I have been a member of SETI since 1999. I have always been a nut about UFO's and am happy to have a small part in the research. I am an avid PC Gamer and can often be found vegging out at 4:00am playing games or streaming on Twitch.tv/gamertech63.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
What can I say about SETI. If I didn't believe life existed outside our world, I wouldn't be here. I think it's great that the public can be involved in the actual research in a small way and feel honored to be part of it. I do believe one day we will find life but how could I guess as to when. If you believe that we are being visited, I would have to say we will discover them when they want us to. I think it would be so cool if we could find broadcasts from another planet. Something like maybe their TV or Radio programs. Wouldn't that be awesome. An alien TV Show!
I really believe we need projects like SETI because it is important if for no other reason to just keep looking. I think space exploration in general is very important to our future and continued existence.
