Personal background
Hi I'm the 102,726,873 incarnation of Thlopeen one of a handful of extra terrestrial starfish dumped on your miserable planet some 50 million years ago. Hobbies include collecting shellfish, beach combing and world domination.

I'm currently controlling the mind of some miserable lower form of life whose only use to me are his keyboard skills and the ability to pop down to the fishmongers for a few mussels.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? If so, when and how will humans discover it? What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery?

Of course I think ET life exists - I'm a stella-starfish trying to get home for gawd's sake. Do you realise how long its taken us to evolve to a level where we can control the minds of lower forms of life (you know, scientists, software engineers etc) just so that we try and make use of your pathetic technology? I hope we find it soon just so we can get our email from home, do you realise how much spam will have accumulated in our inboxes over the last 50 million years? Obviously for us it'll be a big benefit getting back in touch with old friends, for you humans well you're screwed, once our motherships land let's see if your legs can regrow eh? Bwah-hahahahahahaah, ohhh excuse me that feel's sooo much better.

2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? If so, what information should we send?

Yep transmit away, you should send details of average human height, weight, protein, fat and salt content - you're not the only ones who count the calories you know....

3. Why do you run SETI@home? What are your views about the project? Any suggestions?

Because the starfish tell me to. Cancel the project stop before its too late oh no he's coming back, run run for your liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiivz
