Profile: Chuck R. Bell

Personal background
Hi - I'm a professional Scientologist, native Texan (currently living in Oklahoma), and a Slackware Linux zealot! I've been running SETI@Home on several computers at home since Feb. 2000 with over 13300 completed (SETI Classic) work units. It would be extremely cool if the SETI@Home project actually determined the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life. The search is worthwhile! Who knows? There might even be intelligent terrestrial life!

I'm also a systems manager and administrator and Free/Open Source Software advocate and developer and active in the Tulsa Linux Users group.

I like sci-fi, motorcyles, philosophy, Dianetics(tm) and Scientology(tm), astronomy, history, ham radio and Total Freedom. I also like playing the Game of Go, geneaology, fishing and camping, stamp collecting, and cooking.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Of course extraterrestrial life exists! Heh!
A bigger question is what is life?
