I am 56 years old and a graduate of the school of Electrical Engineering at Queen's University Kingston Ontario Canada. I graduated in 1969 and worked in Canada until I fled the ice and snow to migrate to Australia in 1977. I have been in the telecommunications and IT industry my entire working career.
I sail, dive and love Jaguar motor cars. I am also a licensed amateur radio operator with the call sign VK3DLP.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Quite possible life exists but the distances may be so great as to preclude us meeting other inhabitants of the Universe.
2. We already are sending information. I doubt given what we are sending anyone would believe there is inteligent life on Earth.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
