Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I think that the SETI@home program is great. It allows people that have a computer but not necessarily to means to fiscally help the SETI program to help anyways!
I 100% think that there is life out there and I go on the say, "The sure sign that there is intelligent life out there is the fact that they have not tried to contact us!"
I enjoyed the movie Contact and think that is a fairly accurate depiction of what would happen in terms of religious people clashing with the scientific community.
I think that a beacon should be transmitted. I would like to see it contain a little sample of the best of everything. Arts, Science, Literature, Muisc. The thing is that we need to make sure that we send samples of EVERYTHING and not just standard classical music - put some metal and hip hop and techno as well!
I run the SETI program because I want to help in the way that I can. Not having all that much spare money for donations I like this opportunity to do what I can.
