Personal background
I live in the anciet roman colony of Alife,Campania in Italy, where I was born in 1977.
I'm graduate student in Software Engeneering at Politecnico " Federico II " in Naples.
My interests goes from Computer Science and Information Communication Technology to Applied Mathematics and CAE.
As programmer I grew up dealing with Fortran, C, C , SQL and REALBasic.
My major work is MNI, a mathematical software library, which contains several numerical algorithms (FFT,DFT,PDE,etc.) wrote in Fortran.
I currently work on Apple iMac@333 MHz and Apple iBook@466 MHz running Apple Mac OS 9 and Microsoft Windows 2000 in a emulated enviroment (Pentium II@266 MHz).

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I firmly believe in the existence of life in the Deep Space. We would be extremely egotists to think that we are alone in the Universe. Although we have no evidence of extraterrestrial intelligence, now we know of the past existence of a primitive life form on Mars and we have found several planets in which life could grow up as it grew up on Earth, so we have to search and search again. I stand for SETI project because Scientific Method is the only way to do this. Great italian physician Carlo Rubbia, said: "Maybe they are less technologically advanced than us, so that they can't communicate with us, or maybe they are more technologically advanced than us, so that we can't communicate with them". Rubbia was right because the probability of matching different lifes on different worlds in different ages are very few, but we are not hopeless. Sooner or later SETI scientists' will find the right Gaussains corresponding to real radio signals from the beyond, and I'd like to be there that day.
That's why I'm proud to be involved and to give my little aid in the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence brougth to all of us by SETI@home. Thank you, SETI.
