| Home for me is the State of Michigan, USA. I am a 39 year old father of 4. I have been working in the communications industry for nearly 15 years. Two of my four children are currently serving in the US Air Force, one is in Iraq and the other is currently Stateside. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

Thinking that we are "Alone" in this seemingly endless universe is a very narcicistic view. Believing that our planet contains the only intelligent life in existance would not only be a shallow view, but also a faithless belief. Providing there is a GOD, whomever he may be (Christian, Bhudist, Islam, etc...), Would probably have his/her hands in more than one project. It would be too presumptuous to think that we are His/Her only creation.
I run the SETI program to be a part of something that could impact the entire planet in a meaningful way. I believe this project to be valid, and imparitive to the safety of our planet. Not only could we find intelligent and friendly life, we could find intelligent and harmful life out there...I'd rather see it coming. |
