Profile: Cellaman

Personal background
I'm from Lancashire in England (not far from the Jodrell Bank radio telescope), I was born in 1970 (so i just missed the moon landing). I'm an ICT technician for a local primary school and have been interested in Astronomy and the supernatural since around 1982.
I like the usual middle aged stuff such as Star Trek TNG, The Simpsons, Red Dwarf, Football (English) and Formula 1.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
My interest in aliens took a major leap forward when I saw a UFO in 1984. It was just a round ball of light going very fast and silent on a clear Winter's night. I won't go into all the details here.

I keep asking the question, did I see something of earth origin or were there REALLY "aliens" from another planet aboard that ball of light???

SETI@home is a positive step forward into answering this question, and to be even a small part of it is exciting.

I think ET will/has discovered us before we discover them.

First contact is a hard question... If you see a dog in the street, is it going to lick you or bite you? How can we know how another species is going to react who are far more advanced than ourselves? I don't blame ET for not wanting to make itself known as we can't get along with our own species let alone another!

1000's of Millions of galaxies, each with Billions of suns and 'X' amount of habital planets.....you had to orbit mine!!!
