Profile: Sci-Fi-Master

Personal background
I'm creating cars (work), pictures, music and words (hobbies).
In other words i think in everyway possible;)

i remember when i was very very young sitting in front of a black and white Tv set and was almost paralyzed by concentration, watching the first man walking on the moon.
That changed my life..

It's very bad thing, that almost nothing happen since that year...
well....we got microwave ovens and celluar phones...and computers and broadband connections......and videos and dvdplayers...it seems we are cocooning instead for go out there and take over the galaxy...i really are dissapointed, and have a bad feeling about humanity....so i do this seti thing, and hope that we soon will find some thinking and evolving being out there in space..
because i think and hope that it would change our prioritys in a big way..

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1: yes intelligent life exist for sure in other places then here on earth ..we are the proof of that i think. the benefits isnt about economy or knowledge...it's more that we will know we isnt alone anymore..and that knowledge will help us focus on more longterm planning.
the danger with a contact is that its possible they are just as unlogic and impulsive as we are. I think we will find them either by this fine work seti are doing or by quantumpaircommunication (we have to tap into a carrierbeam of som sort..but that requiers that two other civilations already communicating).

2: no we should not send a beacon, because we dont know all aspects about those reciving the signal...its possible it would be dangerous, especial when we dont know how their moral interacts with their logic and economy. its possible when they see our way of history that they see us as a long term treath. And if they are the longterm planning types..it could be bad for us..because we already know how easy it would be to destroy another civilation.

3: I run seti because it's something i easyliy can do to help towards the goal.
I think this project is one of the most longterm good thing i ever seen.
suggestion: make it possible for us to be able to listen to the signals our computers working with..listen to a such signal gives the same feeling as watching the stars in the middle of the silent night.
And i would like to know exactly how and why this work..what do you do with the signals and why...and i would like to be able to download those signals that bever been explained..because they never showed up again.
