Profile: Digger

Personal background
I am a Retired Soldier and Vietnam Veteran. During my time in the Australian Army (Infantry) which totalled 21 years I spent many a night out in the bush sleeping under the stars. I now live just outside a small South East Queensland Town on a 9 acre block with my three little girl dogs.

We have no street lighting here to obstruct the view of the stars and I often spend an hour or two outside at night just admiring the free show of the night sky.

I also go camping quite a lot with my brothers and their families and friends, and around the camp fire on clear nights we have a competition to see who can spot the most satelites. The rules are that the sighting must be verified by another person to gain a score. I think the record is around 23 in two hours.
We once saw three,in what seemed a formation, on two nights running.

I am also an avid Gold Fossicker and 4x4 wheel driving (definitiely off road) enthusiast which both tie in well with the camping.

I have been a member of Seti for quite a while but have been a bit lax of late in performing my Seti duties but thanks to Distant Suns I will again begin my Seti Scanning. One day we will find that other intelligence. WE REALLY WILL.

Oh Well--that should do for now as Dr. Who has just came on the TV.

ALL THE VERY BEST TO ALL OF YOU.
