Most would consider me kinda weird. I am not into sports, love shopping, and always ask for directions. I know-- I'm a disgrace to guys.
Microsoft is evil. If I had to be a Windows SysAdmin, I'd go nuts having to reboot all those PCs all the time.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe ETs exist, and often think that they are our only hope for survival. If/when we come to the point of destroying ourselves, they'll hopefully step in and stop it. We have a nice planet, after all; they wouldn't want it to go to waste.

If we discover life by other means, the space program would get that boost in desperately needs. It's 2002 already, and we haven't progressed since 1969. When I was a kid, I thought for sure we'd be much further along by the year 2000. Instead, we're still operating motor vehicles that burn dead dinosaurs. It's depressing.

Dangers of discovering life elsewhere? All the super right wing religious fanatics will freak out. Hey, that might be kinda neat.
