Personal background
Hello there guys. I'm Anderson Mesquita, a.k.a. Filet, a 21 years old fellow from Brazil who have just found out about SETI project. I am currently taking a Civil Engeneering course here in Brazil and I am very very interested in science subjects and that's the main reason of why I am helping this project out.

Best Regards,

Anderson Mesquita
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yeah, babe! I believe that with all this room for planets, stars and other things if there is not any kind of other beings out there, then it's just a HUGE waste of space. So there probably are many other life forms somewhere out there.

Hopefully we find this out shortly, or at least I hope so because I want to tell my grandkids that I was one of the guys who helped finding those other little green guys! :) And because that would only bring us benefits (well, dangers too, but that's a chance we've got to take, right?), information and maybe even solutions to problems we're still stuck at.

I think since we're trying to identify some sort of signal from them, it would be reasonable if we could send one too, so that they can also be able to track us down. The information for us to transmit, well, anything, something that could make they understand we're looking for them and we are here. Something like "Hey, we're looking for you. Meet us at..." you know!?

And I think all I've written above speaks for itself in why I am helping SETI@home project.
