Hullo there! My name is Auke, I'm from the Netherlands, born in '84 and I've been SETI-ing for a while now. I have a great relationship with the most beautiful girl on this planet AND beyond.
I'm not all of a computer-freak or anything in that direction. At least, to my own reckoning ;) My theory is that when you have a computer, you might as well try to understand how it works. That I now know nearly all of my own computer is a minor detail, but hey, I do know what to do in uncool situations ;)
My own computer ... it's an AMD Athlon XP 2600 with a 370 mhz overclocked front side bus (making the 2600 a 2800 ) and it runs packages in about 2 and a half to 3 hours, depending on whether I do something while SETI is running as a service or not :) |

| Extraterrestial life? Sometimes when I look around, I think they've already landed and are walking around without desguises. But maybe that's what those people think of me :P Anyway, I doubt there's anything but us in this dimension, nevertheless it's fun to get as many packages as possible! |
