Personal background
28 year old netizen from Brooklyn, NY. I spend most of my time on computers looking for ways to either take them apart and rebuild them better or playing games and finding sites useful enough to waste my time. I’m perfectly content with life as it is in the world though it’s nice to escape once in a while with a good book or movie.
I believe humanity is in a stage of puberty, that we are overcoming obstacles that will one day seem very insignificant and historically silly. Through SETI my hope is that we will learn not only about our most extreme environment, but about ourselves as well.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I can’t fathom a universe devoid of any life but our own. I’d like to believe there are others in the universe with the ability to travel throughout and visit a multitude of planets if not other galaxies, though I doubt Trek is the theme of space-faring with some disdain.
I hope my PC and my girlfriends Mac together help in the search and look forward to having heard one day that the combined SETI@home community has succeeded.
Good luck to us.
Lets hope we don’t regret finding what is out there as well ;)
