Personal background
Although many people believe that I was raised by wolves in Yellowstone Park I was actually raised by two wonderful people. My interest in electronics stems from an incident involving a long length of pipe and a high-voltage power line. I am like a modern-day Benjamin Franklin. Since that fateful day I have amassed a large collection of computers. They sat in a dark corner until I learned of the Seti-at-home project. Now the ones that are capable of running the program are doing so non-stop. Some of them take weeks to complete work units, others do so in less than two days. My dream is to be able to complete a work unit in 20 minutes but that is very unlikely, you should refer to the opening statement.
When we do find someone or something out there I hope they're willing to talk with us. Let's all hope that we can overcome our urges to destroy one another or we're likely to miss an opportunity to reach the stars.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I sincerely believe that extraterrestrial life exists. I cannot imagine what form it has taken. It may be as easy to spot as a whale on a beach, or as difficult to find as a single virus on your eyelid.

I'd prefer not to send a beacon for others. We need to concentrate on our own home for a while.
