Profile: nikos dimitrakas

Personal background
Born in Athens Greece in 1977, but living permanantly in Stockholm Sweden. I work as a lecturer at the Department of computer and systems sciences of Stockholm university and the Royal institute of technology.

I like biking, playing snooker and watching series and movies. Many of them have of course been sci-fi and it has always been my belief that all the ideas of Star Trek and X-files and Stargate and Star Wars and so on are not far fetched. On the contrary, they depict a very plausible reality and a possible future for our planets society!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Life in the universe for me is a given! I got involved in seti@home to help find it sooner rather than later. It may be risky to try to contact others (think of all the alien invasion theories....), but I believe it's worth the risk. Even if we all die, we will at least die knowing the truth. As Mulder would say: The Truth is out there!

Communication is a two way street so if we want to find them we must do our part so they can find us. Either way, we are going to find each other!
