I program in VB, TCL, PL/SQL, SQL, C and all other languages that come my way, being a web developer is a never ending learning curve...

From all the info I've got (books, magazines, etc.) it's almost impossible to contact other species... Especially even understanding that it is indeed contact.
Therefore deep deep down, I believe that SETI has no chance whatsoever :-(
But we should keep on trying 'cause who knows what could happen...
