Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am hopeful that life exists elsewhere other than Earth. However, I am not about to estimate at what point in time it will be found...or by whom. It may be centuries before life is discovered. It may be as simple as microscopic bacteria, or as complex as what you may see on the Sci-Fi channel. One thing is certain. Many of us on this planet hope that when and if ET life is located, we are alive to witness the first human interaction with it. Each one of us shares one common bond, we believe that distributed computing may speed along the process so our wish may come true. Good luck to Berkeley and all mankind.
