I think that extraterrestrial life does exist, I think we are on the brink (in the next few decades) of finding that we are not alone. I do not think that we will have the technology to communicate or necessarily understand what is being said, just that we will hear a message that is not random space noise.
We already have sent voyager as a beacon, I do not think a beacon is a good idea until we know what to say and how to respond.
I run Seti@home as it is a worthwhile scientific project, from the dual point of the 'largest' computer and the search for extraterrestrial life. |
