Profile: I want to believe

Personal background
Greetings, to all that are out their. So much I would like to learn from each and everyone of you ! My one voice in an infinte existance.

Now about me: I someone in the "Middle America", Oklahoma.
Major accomplishments, I am still alive, at least as of this post. I have been around the sun 25 times, student, teacher, traveler, just your typical guy. I used to be real hard core on all aspects of computers. What really gets my noodle now, is learning new ways to use them to handle cool projects like this one. Getting out of this place and being where you are, and where 'we' haven't been.

Things I really enjoy are, meeting new people and cultures, traveling, magic, story telling, music (folk/accoustic guitar).

if you might want to reach me, use mulder@team-tno.com that email address up above is no good.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Notes about SETI. I think this is so awesome for a variety of reasons. Do I believe we are alone in the universe, it's hard to imagine that we are, at least to me. Do I believe in a supreme being that created the universe and all that's in it. Yes, that one is God for me. Do I believe S@H and God are mutually exclusive ? No, I don't see how a being such as God, would reject anyone for looking for other people. Remember the early explorers, i.e the Vikings, Marco Polo, even Watson and Crick. If we never find a single signal then okay, but at least we tried. I mean where else will you find something like this project, where you and I have an oppurtunity to answer the age old question, "Are we alone ?".

Where else can you contribute so much to something that could have a profound impact on the 'universe'. The fact alone that we made contact. I want to know.
