I'm a 51 year old CPA from Boise, ID. I work as a senior auditor for the Idaho transportation department. My hobbies are chess and spending time on the computer. I've got a 23 year old son and have been married for 31 years.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I don't know. There are so many possible sources for other life forms that it's hard to say no, but no proof leaves some doubt.
2. Yes, we should transmit a beacon. Basic digitized information about ourselves would be a reasonable message.
3. I would like to help the project because I've been fascinated by the idea since Project OZMA several decades ago. I'm happy to finally be able to contribute in some small way.
