Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Define "life" but there is certainly got to be other life out there in the vastness of space it's just that we might have missed any signal or it has not arrived yet or we are looking for the wrong sort of signal/cannot look (yet) for the sort of signal "they" might be sending.

Benefits dependant upon where the other "life" forms are at ! ;-)
No risk no gain !

I run S@H as I have spare CPU cycles and it seems a good use of them. I think the idea of a massive transient cooperative supercomputer is cool!

Why dont we do this for other "good cause" research ?
