What an interesting project. Maybe some day my computer will find something interesting.... maybe.
I have 3 computers running the commandline version as a windows service under windows 2000 professional. They average 7 to 8 hours. Some day I'll have something other then a couple of PII's up and running, and maybe able to speed up my WU times altogather. Yah right.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do I think extraterrestrial life exists? I don't know, I'd kinda like to think we ain't alone.
Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? Sure why not.
Why do you run SETI@home? Just in case there is life out there and it is found by SETI@home, I can say I helped.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
