Personal background
I am a 32 year old Sr. Software Engineer who lives in Arizona. I have many hobbies that I love to do. Amongst these hobbies are radio controlled Helicopters (Nitro), Airplanes (Electric), and 4x4 Trucks (Electric). I am perhaps, still a kid at heart. Aside from my childish side, I also enjoy composing music and looking out and into at the stars. With a my 1 year old son i hope i can share many of my hobbies with him.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do I believe there is life out there? A. Yes I do. How could we be so naive to believe that we are the only life around? It is even harder to think we are the smarter ones in the universe. If we are the smarter ones, why can we not leave crop circles on their planets? I don`t think that we are limited by technology as much as we are by fear (Fear of the Unknown).

I started a Seti@home group about 6-7 years ago called Arizona (East Mesa) in hopes to get as many people / friends to join. I would like nothing more than to say, We found life out there. This passion is shared nearly worldwide, despite our different backgrounds, nationalities, race or religion. I am confident that there are more people in the world that believe rather than disbelieve this cause.

I would have to agree with many other when asked Should we broadcast our signal out into space letting others know that we`re here? No, but perhaps it is already too late. After all we do have cellular phones, Radio, Television, and other space equipment out there aside from frequencies. I cannot begin to imagine how many other toys are left out in the cosmic playground. The only thing that we can do now is wait; for a return signal, a visit, or perhaps something else. Maybe E.T. will call home one day. The two questions left unanswered are what do we do when they call? And, how far away until that day really occurs?

If someone asked if we (the world) were making a mistake; I would have to answer with this. Scientific achievements are not derived from skill, but by that of many years of trial and error. I have faith that we will one day find life out there, other than our own, I can only hope I live long enough to witness it.
