I live on the coast of California, away from LAX and SFO, one mile from the Pacific Ocean. I run SETI because I hate seeing resources going to waste and believe that any discovery of extra terrestrial intelligence will rank as high in importance as previous religious findings.
I take pride in knowing that only 0:02:52 has been wasted with System Idle Process over the past week on my dual AMD processor workstation.

The System Idle Process is a valuable resource that the SETI team figured out how to utilize. I will always crunch for SETI, even after a signal has been found.
