Started out in physics and astronomy at university in the early sixties and wound up with a PhD as a cultural historian. Educator and management consultant to this day. At 75 as much interested in the big questions in science as ever. Had great hopes for what we as the Flower Power generation would leave behind for our kids, but when I see what the current generation in charge is making a balls-up of the world, I'm not so sure anymore. Hope my grand-kids will do better!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I'm sure there are thousands of civilisations out there somewhere. I no longer expect to hear about them in my lifetime, though.
