Personal background
I am 26yrs Old, I live in a town along the Murray River in South Australia called Loxton.
I am an Engineer/Surveyor/Supervisor for the Local Government and I have been interested in the stars since I was a kid.
The night skies here in Loxton are some of the best you will see for star gazing, anywhere around the planet.

I am always interested in world events - I can never get enough of it. Whether it be new technology to war, its better than any TV Show, because I know its all reality.

My life revolves a lot around computers, which is probably why I like to get outside and play soccer & tennis and go for bike rides and swimming.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe extraterrestrial life exists, I believe it is arrogant to think we are the only ones existing.
As for when we will ever discover life out there, it may be 5 years or even 500 years from now, it all depends on events in our world, and how far we advance in technology, or it may depend on anyone out there who may bump into us, or believe its our time to see the rest of the neighborhood.

I do think it is our responisbility to wave the flag for humanity, to let others know we are here. Who knows what we could learn, or even share with our friends out there?

Seti@home really makes you feel you are contibuting to the greater good, even if it is a small component, who knows, it may even be my computer that finds that all important 'spike in the chart'. At least I know, the odds of finding life out there have been slightly narrowed down because of our help.
