Personal background
The truth is out there. Do you believe? Member of ~~Team Fermilab friends of Seti@home~~. I'm a 27 year old male living in DeKalb Illinois. I recently heard of Seti@home and immediately downloaded the software. I am a graduate of Northern Illinois University and without a doubt, a scientist at heart. I'm currently debating on whether I should attend medical school or just find a decent paying job. I can use any advice anyone has regarding making my experience with Seti@home much more efficient and enjoyable! So please send me some mail when you have a chance! You can contact me at my e-mail SirLarsTheis@aol.com if you have any questions, comments, or would just like to chat. ~~Thanks
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
With the vast expanse that is our universe, it would be very egotistical to assume that we are alone. We have 400 billion stars in our galaxy alone, along with billions of galaxies in the universe. It would be a disgrace to the scientific community if we did not believe that it is at least possible. Without a doubt, I believe that we have neighbors. Will we contact them in my lifetime? Hmmmm, I hope....

I believe that it is imperative to the continuation of our species that we try to contact whatever intelligent life is out there. We should be sending our signal out into space!! After all, how is anyone going to know we're here if we don't send word of our presence.

I personally run Seti@home because I want to do my part in advancing the knowledge of the scientific community. Regardless if we find proof of extra-terrrestrial intelligence, this project is a great way for all of us to get involved.

My Favorite Quote: "If we are alone, it would be an awful waste of space..."
